Psychotherapy
A confidential space to untangle anxiety, grief, burnout and the patterns that keep you stuck — with a therapist who truly listens.
Talk that actually changes things
Psychotherapy at Fernlight is never small talk. Across 50-minute sessions, Maya Fern and our credentialed team combine evidence-based approaches — from cognitive and narrative therapy to mindfulness and body-aware work — matched to how you think and what you need.
Clients come with anxiety, depression, grief, relationship strain and burnout. They stay because sessions feel honest, unhurried and genuinely useful.
What's included in every session
- 50 minutes of confidential one-to-one time with your named therapist.
- A personal formulation: what is happening, why, and what will help.
- Practical tools and between-session practices that fit real life.
- Regular reviews, so you can see — and feel — your progress.

Psychotherapy questions
Is everything I say confidential?
Yes. Sessions are strictly confidential, with the only exceptions being rare safety-related legal duties, which your therapist explains at the start.
In-person or online?
Both. Meet at our London practice or by secure video — many clients blend the two around work and family life.
How long does therapy take?
Focused issues often shift in 6–12 sessions; deeper patterns take longer. You review progress regularly and decide together.
